I've been meaning to upload a recipe for humus a long time ago, as it is so easy and a lovely dip to make. You will realise it tastes better than the ones from the shop. For extra yumminess, use chickpeas that you have soaked over night (I used canned here to make it easier).

  • Skill level: Easy
  • Serves: 8+
  • Prep time: 10 mins max
What you will need:

1 garlic clove, peeled
1 tsp salt
2 x 400g canned chickpeas, drained
3-4 tbsp tahina (sesame paste)
juice of 2 small lemons
olive oil 

How to make:

1) You could either do this in a food processor, or manually (I do manually as quicker, and less washing! Lol), mash with a pestle the garlic clove and salt in a bowl, then add the chickpeas and keep mashing until all the chickpeas are mashed

2) Add the tahina and mash together, followed by the lemon juice. Check for taste, either adding more salt, more tahina, or more lemon

3) Plate up, top with extra chickpeas if you like, and drizzle with olive oil

Eat with your meal, or with bread, carrot stick etc etc. It goes with ANYTHING! Enjoy :)
