Lahmee bil khubuz (meat on a bread) لحمه بالخبز

This is a super simple Lebanese food to put together for lunch, dinner or a snack :D
It tastes delicious, and takes so little effort! You can use any type of bread that you like, we always have pitta bread in the freezer, so I used pitta for mine.

Meat kebabs in tangy tomato sauce

Unfortunately there is no modern technology that allows tastes to travel via the internet, or you would have loved how delicious this was, mashAllah! Unfortunately the pictures don't do it justice, nor does the description. The only way you can really know is to make it yourself, and what a good idea that would be! :D

After I made this, I struggled to think of what to call it. In Lebanese, we would call the meat 'kafta' when prepared in the way I did, before adding the sauce ofcourse, but I guess kebabs is a more common and familiar word. Anyway, the point is DELICIOUS, so who really cares what it is called? hehe

Chocolate cookies with oreo pieces

Now I have to be honest, this all happened rather randomly. I was planning on making chunky chocolate cookies, but whilst weighing my chocolate, I only had half of what I need. A light bulb in my head said ooo we have oreos, and out came the oreo biscuits, and in they went to the cookie mix. So here they are, delicious oreo chocolate cookies!

Chicken bhuna with red peppers

It has been a while since I uploaded, forgive me for this. But I hope and pray that great things are yet to come...and my latest update is a new camera gifted to me by my amazing sisters, which I am yet to figure out or take any decent shots. However, I have tried to take pictures of the chicken bhuna using my new camera :)

This recipe is a little bit of a chicken curry with a twist, I wasn't really too sure whether to call it chicken bhuna or not, as I added tomato paste, freshly cut tomatoes and red peppers sliced as a Nosaiba extra. None the less, it tasted delicious alhamdulilah. If you liked my recipe for the lamb bhuna then you will also enjoy making and eating this!

Gnocchi in a creamy tomato sauce

I don't know why I have this habit of strolling randomly down the food aisle at the supermarket, and picking up random things, then working out a dish to make from it. This is exactly what I did with the gnocchi. Alhamdulilah, it turned out delicious!! My sister had her reservations, as she had tasted gnocchi at a Italian place, but when she tasted this dish she found it more delicious than the one she had tasted. This really is worth a try!

Red cabbage salad - Lebanese style

During my visit to Lebanon, from amongst all the delicious food we ate, this red cabbage salad stood out! Yes, I know, how strange that out of all the food, a salad caught my attention! I guess it is because it wasn't something I had tried before, and I really liked it once I did. So when I got back, I made it the way I had eaten it back home.
