Directions

Who doesn't love ferrero rocher?? So I thought why not make it as a cake, for the joyous celebration of EID!!!! May Allah make it a blessed day for the whole nation. This was that type of cake which is so easy to make, yet it has the wow and yummy factor. I sure will be making it again inshAllah.
  1. Add the sifted flour, cocoa powder and baking into a bowl, then stir in the ground hazelnuts
  2. Whisk the eggs on a high speed until frothy, then slowly add the sugar whilst continuing to whisk until the mixture triples in volume (could take at least 5 minutes of whisking)
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, a third at a time, whilst folding in gently until well incorporated
  4. Divide the batter between two 23cm cake tins, which you have greased and lined with baking paper. Place into the oven at 180 degrees, for 15-20 mins, or until a testing stick inserted into the cake comes out clean
  5. Remove from the oven and leave to rest for 5 minutes before turning it onto a wire rack to cool completely
  6. Meanwhile, make the frosting by melting the chopped chocolate in the microwave in 20-30 second intervals, mixing the chocolate at every interval until it is melted. Leave to cool to room temperature
  7. Whisk the melted chocolate with the butter and nutella, then chill in the fridge until ready to use
  8. Once the cake is cool, cut each cake length ways into two equal pieces
  9. Place one layer of cake onto the serving dish, then add some of the frosting, followed by a sprinkle of crushed wafers. Place the next cake layer, and repeat the steps until the final layer of cake. Add frosting to the top and to the sides of the cake. Use the crushed wafers to place around the sides of the cake, and the ferrero rocher to decorate the top of the cake

You can add piping onto the cake, or do whatever you like with the decorations. This cake not only looks lovely, it tastes lovely mashAllah! Enjoyyyyy :)
