Apple jam

  • 5 apples, peeled, cored and chopped into bite-size pieces
  • 250ml water
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.5 cup sugar

Directions

It seems to be the apple season, because I was given a bag full of apples from a colleague, collected from her garden. So I thought why not make apple jam! It is sooo easy and quick to make!
  1. Add the apples, water and lemon juice in a pot, and leave on medium heat until the apples boil and become soft, this may take 15-20 mins
  2. Allow to cool a little before adding the sugar and placing the mixture into a blender to form a paste (alternatively you can manually mash up the apples with the sugar in the pot)
  3. Place back onto medium heat, and leave until the mixture thickens (mixing from time to time to avoid it sticking)

Once you are done you can place it into a jam jar if you like to make it look fancy, or in any container of your choice. Leave to cool and then refrigerate before eating. Enjoy :)
